Nebraska Birth Choice Advocates is a grassroots community dedicated to advancing birth choice for the families of Nebraska through education, political advocacy, improving community visibility, and uniting birth choice supporters. We support the family’s right to autonomy in choosing their pregnancy/birth providers and place of birth. We do not advocate for any one type of midwife/birth worker over any other as we believe it undermines our fundamental belief in families' right to informed choice. We also do not advocate for any legislation that will cause any form of midwifery to become illegal.

Goal
Advance and Support Birth Choices

Provide education about the current laws surrounding homebirth.

Advocate for legislation that protects all types of midwives' ability to provide care without supervision and restriction. We believe families are capable of choosing the provider that fits their needs. We believe all types of midwives are capable of serving Nebraska families.

Encourage the ability of families to access all types of birth workers.

Be a voice for families by protesting mistreatment, lack of informed consent, and lack of choices.
